We welcome you to the 2008 Health & Fitness Expo to be held in conjunction with the 6th Presentation of the Big Sur Half Marathon on Monterey Bay, the Run Forrest Run 5K presented by the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, and the JUST RUN!® Just Kids 3K presented by Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula and the city of Monterey. In 2008 we will continue our tradition of staging world-class events with an emphasis on the health and fitness benefits associated with cardiovascular exercise. We look forward to seeing a wide spectrum of dedicated vendors displaying a variety of products and services for our runner and walker participants. The 2008 Health & Fitness Expo is a two day opportunity to maintain maximum exposure to an anticipated 8,500 participants in our Half Marathon, 10-Mile Walk,5K and 3K races. When you factor in families and volunteers, along with the general public, the number of people passing through the Expo will exceed 12,000. We would like the 2008 Health & Fitness Expo to be a fun and informative event with a focus on health screening checks and demonstrations; sports medicine and fitness programs; the latest in fitness clothing, shoes and training aids; and a variety of other run and walk related products and services. The 2008 Health & Fitness Expo will be held at the Monterey Conference Center, 1 Portola Plaza, Monterey, CA. The dates and hours will be Friday, November 7th from noon to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 8th from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We also invite you to participate in our "Goody Bag" promotional opportunity. Put your product or flyer in the hands of every participant in all our events. 6,000 pre-stuffed runner/walker packets will be distributed at the 2008 Health & Fitness Expo along with race numbers and t-shirts. We seek to provide diverse product sampling and informational packets to each participant. Our "Goody Bag" fee includes storing, packaging, transporting and distributing your materials.
